Returns Policy

Rural Pumps is committed to complying with the Australian Consumer Law. This policy outlines our position on returns for change-of-mind or incorrectly ordered goods, which are not covered under statutory consumer guarantees.

1. Returns and Prior Approval

1.1 The Supplier is under no obligation to accept returns for goods that are not faulty or otherwise covered under statutory warranty.
1.2 Customers must obtain prior written approval within 21 days of receiving the purchased goods before returning any goods. Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted and we reserve the right to refuse returns if it is outside the 21 day period.

2. Conditions of Return for Credit

2.1 Goods approved for return may be accepted for credit only if the following conditions are met:

  • (a) Goods must be returned unused, undamaged, and original packaging, and must be in resaleable condition.
  • (b) All returns must be accompanied by:
    • A copy of the original delivery docket;
    • A written statement including the original invoice number, date of purchase, and reason for return.
  • (c) The cost of postage/freight for returning the item is the responsibility of the purchaser.

2.2 The amount credited (if any) will be at the sole discretion of the Supplier, and will not exceed the original invoice amount.

2.3 A restocking fee of not less than 15% of the product’s original price may apply to all returns approved for credit. This fee covers documentation, repacking, restocking, and associated handling costs. The exact fee is at the Supplier’s discretion.

Refunds

3.1 If a return is approved and a refund is offered (rather than a credit or exchange), the refund will be processed within 7 business days of the returned goods being received and inspected by the Supplier.
3.2 Refunds will be made to the original payment method used at the time of purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3 Shipping or freight charges are non-refundable, except where goods are returned due to a fault or error on the part of the Supplier.

4. Faulty or Damaged Goods

4.1 Where goods are faulty, not of acceptable quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described, customers may be entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement under the Australian Consumer Law.
4.2 Please contact us within a reasonable time of receipt to arrange return, assessment, and resolution.
