About us – Rural Pumps
Welcome to Rural Pumps, a proud Western Australian business focused on selling and servicing water pumps.
We have been in the water pump business since 2010, when the Sevenson family bought a pump business in the Bunbury area. We sold that business off in 2022 and Tim has been working a 2nd job while still servicing a small group of customers since then. In June 2024, we have decided to rename our business and give it a new focus selling quality pump parts and helping customers all over Australia.
Who we are
We are a family owned and operated business. Our extensive industry experience and excellent product knowledge means Rural Pumps delivers water pump equipment that is good value and delivers year after year.
I have worked in the water industry since 2010 and previous to that worked in the dairy and wine industries. In all these previous roles, I gained a great deal of hands on experience in the repair of a wide range of pumps, from small house pressure pumps to large industrial and mining pumps and submersible bore pumps. I also have my restricted electrical license in WA and have an excellent practical knowledge of electric motors and pump control systems, including a great deal of experience in Solar powered pumps systems.
I currently drive trucks in the Bunury area as a day job, carting all sorts of bulk materials for mining and civil clients and run the Rural Pumps business as side gig to truck driving. That doesn’t mean your order will be delayed or that a question will remain unanswered, as I’m always happy to answer your calls (on hands free) while I’m driving along. If you send me a message or email, I always have my laptop on me and will usually respond when I stop for a break. I’m home every night and so generally get all orders packed overnight for dispatch early the next morning.
What We Do
Rural Pumps sell pump parts that are guaranteed to work. We aim to stock and sell only the most practical and best quality pump parts within Australia. Before we stock an item we evaluate it thoroughly so the customer is offered only the best solution for the job. This currently includes:
- Pressure switches
- Mechanical Seals.
- Capacitors
- Pressure tanks.
- Accessories.
We also have a wide range of suppliers available to us and so if there is a part that isn’t stocked on our web shop, all you have to do is get in touch with Tim and he will know where to get it from and can have it on a courier to you ASAP. While we are based in WA, I operate the business from one of the main industrial areas in Perth, so we are able to efficiently despatch parcels to our customers Australia wide.
